We worked for a big agency with big clients.
Won lots of awards for our radio. We were hot. Smokin hot!
Then one day our agency lands this HUGE rush
job from our biggest client. The kind of drop-everything-pull-out-all-the-stops
job where theres no time for screwing around, not even time
for the lunch hour Nintendo tourney in the break room.
We decided to sub out some of the work. So we
went looking for some sources for great radio.
First we called some free-lancers from the back
of AdWeek. They all sucked. Lets face it, if they were any
good theyd be snapped up by an agency in two seconds.
Next we tried calling those big radio houses
out of New York and L.A. They had nice-sounding reels, but boy did
they charge an arm and a leg. And most of them were not so keen
on sharing creative control.
So what did we do? Panic, first. And then we
busted our butts working nights and weekends to finish the job.
And then we quit the agency and founded Eye Cue Radio.
Because we figured there oughta be a source
for top-notch creative at reasonable prices. And if you want something
done right, you oughta do it yourself.
We wrote our business plan on the back of a
greasy napkin (TIP: never hold a business meeting at a rib joint).
We came up with three points that summarized what we were all about:
Absolutely the best creative. No compromises.
Reasonable prices that let everyone
involved make a living.
Accountability, punctuality and collaboration.
We think youll enjoy working with us.
Heck, we wish wed been around when we were working at the
big agency. Ya know?
Next, may we suggest you read a little bit about
what we do.
